Alta Fidelidad (High Fidelity), la mítica película dirigida por Stephen Frears, cumple 20 años el próximo 31 de marzo.

La adaptación de la novela Nick Hornby fue estrenada en los cines de medio mundo en el año 2000 y contó con un reparto encabezado por John Cusack, Iben Hjejle, Todd Louiso Jack Black y Lisa Bonet en los personajes principales.

Alta Fidelidad fue un pelotazo desde su estreno y con el tiempo se ha convertido en todo un icono de los amantes de la música independiente. Y es que... ¿cuántas veces habremos escuchado esta frase de la boca de un amigo?

¿Escuchaba música pop porque estaba deprimido, o estaba deprimido por escuchar música pop?

Como era de esperar, una película de estas características también tuvo un punto fuerte extra: su banda sonora. Y es que la banda sonora de Alta Fidelidad contó con una selección musical brutal a base de temas de bandas como The Kinks, The Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan o Stereolab, entre otros.

Por otro lado, debemos recordaros que Alta Fidelidad también ha llegado este año a la televisión en forma de un remake protagonizado por Zoë Kravitz (Big Little Lies) en el papel de John Cusack. La serie ya se puede ver a través de la plataforma de Hulu, aunque en España es complicado visualizarla.

Con todo esto, de cara a celebrar el 20 aniversario de Alta Fidelidad, hemos decidido recopilar la banda sonora de la película y también todas las canciones que aparecen en la nueva serie.

Sinopsis

Rob Gordon (John Cusack) tiene en Chicago una tienda de discos de vinilo que está a punto de quebrar. Comparte su afición por el vinilo con sus dos empleados, Dick (Todd Louiso) y Barry (Jack Black). En la tienda, los tres reflexionan y discuten sobre la música que aman. Pero Rob tiene otro problema: quiere volver con su antigua novia Laura (Iben Hjejle), que está saliendo con otro chico.
